Publication Ethics Policy
Originality: The submission must not have been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration. This submitted manuscript should not be similar in content or details to any other articles the author(s) has already published or have under consideration. This document should represent original creative thought.
Ethical Approval for Human and Animal Research: Manuscripts reporting human or animal research must include a statement confirming that all experiments were conducted in accordance with ethical guidelines and approved by a relevant ethics committee or institutional review board.
Informed consent: Informed consent must be obtained from all participants where applicable.
Example Ethics Statement:
“The study was approved by the Institutional Review Board of [Institution]. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants and the study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.”
Conflict of interest: Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest.
Principle of Benefit Sharing: The journal upholds the principle of benefit sharing, which requires that the benefits arising from research are shared fairly and equitably with research participants, communities, institutions or countries involved in the study particularly in studies involving resource-limited, indigenous or vulnerable populations.
COPE: The journal adheres to the publication ethics and best practices outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
